Our background
The Sales Competency Profile was developed and tested for a leading university by Stan Livacz, a retired marketing executive. Stan was the founder and president of IMG - Interactive Marketing Group, a company that specializes in data supported sales and marketing programs for high technology companies. Before founding IMG, he was the vice president of corporate communications for ADP -Automatic Data Processing the leader in payroll processing and employer services with a sales force of several thousand company-employed direct and telephone sales representatives. In addition, Stan has provided marketing consulting to several Fortune 500 companies.
The decision to develop Sales Judge was spurred by two widely accepted sales metrics:
1. 80% of new accounts are brought in by 20% of sales people 2. The average sales organization has a 33% turnover every 18 months
These metrics support the fact that for most companies the biggest challenge to achieving their growth potential is selling more new accounts. The companies with sales organizations that are trained and motivated to do so are the winners in their fields.
